Rabbi Steve Karro

Rabbi Steve Karro

Rabbi Steve Karro has long believed that one of life’s greatest purposes is to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Born in Russia and raised in Jerusalem, he was immersed in Jewish tradition and learning from an early age. As a teenager, he dedicated himself to intensive study in yeshiva, an experience that helped shape his education, values, discipline, and lifelong commitment to faith and service.

These early experiences laid the foundation for a life centered on preserving tradition, sharing knowledge, and encouraging others to approach the world with kindness, integrity, and purpose.

Preserving Sacred Traditions

Throughout his life, Rabbi Karro has devoted himself to Hebrew calligraphy, sacred writing, teaching, and Judaica art. His work includes restoring ancient Torah scrolls, writing new Torah scrolls, and creating mezuzot and tefillin.

For Rabbi Karro, this work is about more than craftsmanship. Each project represents a connection between generations and an opportunity to help preserve traditions that have endured for centuries. His careful approach reflects a deep respect for Jewish history, culture, and sacred texts.

His creativity also extends to oil painting and other forms of art inspired by his appreciation for faith, history, and culture.

Teaching and Sharing Knowledge

Teaching has been one of the most meaningful parts of Rabbi Karro’s journey. He believes knowledge carries the greatest value when it is shared, allowing others to continue learning, growing, and passing meaningful traditions forward.

Whether teaching, creating art, or working with sacred texts, he approaches his work with a guiding principle: to consider what is right and how his actions can leave the world a little better than he found it.

Faith, Perseverance, and Purpose

Like many people, Rabbi Karro has encountered challenges throughout his life. Through those experiences, his faith has remained a source of strength and perspective. He believes perseverance, kindness, and integrity are qualities that must be practiced and cultivated every day.

Whether restoring a Torah scroll, creating a work of art, traveling, or sharing what he has learned with others, Rabbi Steve Karro remains focused on the same purpose: preserving meaningful traditions, encouraging others through education, and contributing to a more compassionate and thoughtful world.
